Steve Parr - case histories
Carl Davis - Creepy Crawly
Creepy Crawly is a children's song book with music written by Carl Davis. Working from

the drafts of the sore, Steve prepared clicks and recorded guide piano tracks. He then took this to a primary school where he recorded the children singing along to the guide. After some post production work tidying up the vocals, the final stage was to take the recordings to Air Edel studios to replace the guide piano tracks with a small ensemble and to then mix, master and compile the finished CD and web download files.
Dominic Scherrer - Monroe

Dominic has his own well equipped studio in Brick Lane, but for ITV drama series 'Monroe' he asked Steve to record the string quartet at his studio 'Crimson Noise' and to mix the cues so that they 'sounded more like a record' than a tv score. Job done, drama on air
and the soundtrack album now out.
Rob Lane - Mr Whicher

For this drama Rob needed to record a 9 piece string section. Steve chose Chestnut studios which has a small but great sounding room. He prepared all the clicktracks
in Logic and delivered it back to Rob's hard drive so he could take it home immediately to mix in his home studio in Brighton.
Nina Humphreys - Night Watch

Nina had the budget to record a sixty piece orchestra for this BBC film, so we did this onto Protools at Air Studios. Nina uses Digital Perfor
mer, so once again Steve chose Chestnut where he synced 2 macs, one running the orchestral session on an HD3 system and the other running Nina's DP files and extra percussion. He mixed this using an SSL AWS as bith a controller for
both systems and as an analogue summing mixer.
